Responsibilities
- Aid in the development and management of project strategic plans and program initiatives.
- Act as Owner’s Advisor, overseeing all phases of project management.
- Manage the planning, design, and construction processes and coordinate all related activities.
- Guide clients through design and construction complexities, incorporating ownership priorities.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other project team members to achieve project objectives and resolve issues.
- Lead contract negotiations, drafting, and execution.
- Oversee the project budget and schedule, reporting regularly to the project team and client.
- Conduct proposal reviews, level and analyze, and present to the client.
- Select consultants and vendors, prepare RFQ/RFPs, research and compare firms, and negotiate business terms.
- Manage the closeout process.
- Create and maintain beneficial business relationships with owners, architects/engineers, and subcontractors for business development and marketing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of project management experience in design or construction fields, particularly in institutional, cultural, museum, higher education, and religious projects.
- Proficiency in PC-based scheduling and spreadsheet applications, including Microsoft Project and Excel.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management, design management, estimating, scheduling, budgeting/cost control, field supervision, financial reporting, and client relationships.
- Proven success in managing projects.
- Firm knowledge and understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequences, as well as architectural/construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as business presentation skills.
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and staff across organizational lines.
- Strong analytical skills and success in building team relationships and partnerships across organizational lines.
