Responsibilities
- Manage small capital projects from inception to closeout.
- Lead and support a $3M Hydronic Valve Replacement Project, a campus-wide design-build initiative.
- Cook with and support design teams, contractors, and campus stakeholders to ensure project milestones, quality, and compliance.
- Manage project documentation, schedules, budgets, and reporting requirements.
- Oversee or assist with additional projects, including: Abatement projects, Tenant improvements (TI), Minor capital projects.
- Maintain strong communication with the client and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications
- Ability to prepare project files for CSU system audit at project completion
- 8-14 years of Project Management experience
- Public works or campus project experience, particularly in occupied or operational environments.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment; on-site presence will be required based on project needs.
- Ability to communicate mission, objectives and safety philosophy in decision making and supervising the work of others.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree (in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred).
- Institutional/Higher Ed experience preferred but not required
- CSU experience is a plus but not required
- Experience working for a general contractor on large construction projects is a plus
- Utility experience preferred, especially involving hydronic systems, mechanical systems, or infrastructure upgrades.
