Position Summary

The Department of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health is seeking a full-time temporary Project Manager to support a portfolio of research programs focused on public health and safety, violence and injury prevention, and other related areas of study. The Project Manager will work independently under the direction of study Principal Investigators to oversee the management, coordination, and data analysis of multiple concurrent research studies. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, data and quantitative skills and training, and the ability to manage competing priorities across a complex research portfolio. This position will be connected to the field of injury and violence prevention and will be reviewed for continuation on a yearly basis.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project management and study operations across concurrent research studies (30%)
  • Manage study data systems, data quality control, and reporting (25%)
  • Prepare and analyze data, including with the latest statistical techniques (25%)
  • Support grant development and the pursuit of new project funding (15%)
  • Manage regulatory and human subjects research activities (5%)
  • Serve as a central point of coordination and communication among internal research teams, external collaborators, and outside partners
  • Contribute to scholarly dissemination by supporting abstract, presentation, and manuscript development; coordinating multi-author writing and revision workflows; and providing editorial coordination for complex research products, including manuscripts, reports, conference materials, and other dissemination products

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in public health, biostatistics, epidemiology, biomedical sciences, quantitative social sciences, or a related field
  • Some experience in research coordination, project management, data analysis, clinical research, or a related area
  • Excellent organizational, data management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working on a team, leading when necessary, and being open to new skills development

Pay

Salary range: $67,300.00. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.

Schedule

35 hours per week, standard work schedule.
