Project Manager

About the role

The Office of Homeless Services (OHS) within the City of Philadelphia is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team. OHS plays a crucial role in making homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring through collaborative efforts with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supports the planning team with required HUD Continuum of Care governance structures and related committees.
• Analyzes federal and local regulations, national trends, and best practices to inform strategies for a high-quality, trauma-informed homeless assistance system.
• Develops and implements workplans for CoC activities and agency needs.
• Coordinates community-wide efforts to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring.
• Manages project team activities, communicates changes and progress, and ensures projects are completed on time.
• Works collaboratively with other P3 units to improve system performance and assists with large projects and initiatives.
• Facilitates logistics for the PA-500 CoC annual Point in Time Count Report.
• Supports the Local CoC Competition and HUD Competition.

Requirements

Minimum Acceptable Training and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• At least four years’ experience in supervision and management.
• Four years’ experience in program or grant administration.
• Experience in non-profit or government setting addressing housing or other social services.

Qualifications

• Advanced computer skills and knowledge of project management best practices and processes.

• Planning/Organizing: Prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently, plans for additional resources, sets goals and objectives, develops realistic action plans.
