Responsibilities
- Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
- Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
- Effectively applies Audubon methodology and enforces project standards
- Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
- Minimizes exposure and risk on project
- Safeguards project documents, ensuring they are complete, current, and stored appropriately
- Manages the project budget
- Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project
- Follows up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices
- Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, efficiency, and utilization
- Remains completely accessible to client 24/7 during the life of the project and provides a single point of contact, ensuring specific requests are processed promptly and appropriately
- Drives Management of Change philosophy and enforces corresponding procedures
- Supervises project engineers, coordinators, and admins
- Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions
- Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential
- Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner
- Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members
- Mitigates team conflict and communication problems
- Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
- Leads and/or acts as a member of internal teams/task forces
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- 7+ years' of project management and field experience working in the onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage, pipelines and interconnects
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
- Organizes and develops highly functional and effective project teams
- Works to instill a sense of project ownership and accountability in the project team
- Coincides with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures
