Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, controlling, and evaluating of specific short-term projects which has a beginning, an end, and specific deliverables. The Project Manager is responsible for defining the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management. He is responsible for executing the project according to the project plan and reviewing the quality of the work completed with the project team. He is also responsible for ensuring that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and the required level of quality.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop forms and records to document project activities.
  • Maintain project information and ensure its security.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments.
  • Establish a communication schedule to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Write reports for senior management and funders.
  • Manage project funds and monitor expenditures.
  • Report cash flow and variances to senior management regularly.
  • Ensure financial records are up-to-date.
  • Determine project resources and define scope.
  • Create a detailed work plan and schedule project completion.
  • Create financial reports and supporting documentation for funders.
  • Evaluate project outcomes against planned goals.

Requirements

  • Two to three (2-3) years of experience in Planning and/or Management or related field.
  • Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Business Degree desirable.
  • Proficient with word processing, simple accounting, database management, and spreadsheets.

  • Accident/Injury Reporting: Reports any accidents, injuries and unsafe equipment and conditions to supervisor by the end of the shift and reports any pre-existing conditions as identified by the ADA.
  • Unsafe Conditions: Immediately reports, and corrects, if possible, unsafe conditions or equipment.
  • Workplace Standards: Complies with relevant regulations and standards and policies governing safe workplace environment (OSHA, Accreditation, etc.).
  • Safety Techniques: Maintains current knowledge of all aspects of the facility’s safety program by attending safety-related training as mandated upon hire, and thereafter as required by facility.
  • Modified Work: Accepts modified work assignments after receiving the physician’s release to return to work following an accident or injury.
  • Follow Prescribed/Recommended Treatment: Follows the prescribed/recommended treatment by treating physician(s) after an accident or injury.
  • Education: Participates in required inservice and educational programs on an ongoing basis.
  • Attendance and Punctuality: Follows all facility guidelines outlining standards of attendance and punctuality. Responsible for reporting to work and completing work at assigned times.

Universal Precautions

Universal precautions will be observed in order to prevent contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials. Under circumstances in which differentiation between body fluid types is difficult or impossible, all body fluids shall be considered potentially infectious materials. All blood or other potentially infectious materials will be considered infectious regardless of the status.

Salary Description

$23-25/hour
