Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget while meeting all FDOT and contractual specifications.
• Mentor, coach, and collaborate with other Project Managers to elevate project management capabilities across the region.
• Perform quantity take-offs, determine material requirements, and prepare detailed resource plans.
• Cookordinate subcontractors and monitor progress, ensuring compliance with schedule and quality standards.
• Prepare and submit schedules, material source approvals, invoices, claims, and other documentation.
• Verify subcontractor payments and ensure accurate cost tracking.
• Collect accounts receivable and manage project cash flow.
• Analyze job cost reports, comparing estimated vs. as-built costs to improve future project performance.
• Maintain strong relationships with FDOT, CEI representatives, subcontractors, and owners.

Safety & Environmental Responsibilities

• Enforce and abide by Ajax’s Safety and Environmental rules and all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ensure adherence to Ajax’s quality standards on every project.

Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities

• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to coach and develop other project managers into future leaders.
• Deep knowledge of FDOT specifications, methods, and best practices for road construction.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract terms.
• Familiarity with construction lien laws and contract compliance.
• Competence in cost control, estimating, and analyzing as-built costs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Skilled in using project management software, scheduling tools, and digital reporting platforms.
