About the role

PURVIS Systems is a technology solutions partner that develops, implements and maintains mission-critical solutions for federal and local government agencies. PURVIS has an immediate opening for a Project Manager to support Senior Engineers at our client location.

Responsibilities

  • Providing support to engineering teams and project managers with project oversight and documentation
  • Risk Management - Identification, documentation and tracking of project risks. Development of risk management plans
  • Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) updates and maintenance using Microsoft Project
  • Project/Technical meeting support - prepare/gather/distribute meeting agenda and materials, coordinate/attend project meetings, participate in meeting, prepare, and distribute meeting minutes, coordinate, and track action items
  • Support updates to project technical documentation including System Engineering Plans, Test Plans, Configuration Management Plans, Quality Assurance Plans, etc

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma is required. A bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • An engineering background is a plus.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience supporting Navy systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and Navy software systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and technical writing skills, and be able to successfully work independently as well as in a team environment with customers, peers, and support personnel.
  • Accuracy, quality, and attention to detail are also critical required skills.
  • The candidate must have or be able to obtain a government security clearance to the level of SECRET.
