Project Manager 2 - Construction
Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Project Manager to join our team. In this customer-facing role, you will ensure projects are executed within budget and on schedule while maximizing customer satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities
- Manage, oversee, and coordinate small to medium projects of moderate complexity from award through completion.
- Translate customer needs and requirements into detailed proposals and project implementation plans.
- Communicate project requirements to the team and maintain accurate records of job status, changes, and material flow.
- Act as "our customer’s best service provider" to ensure Convergint remains the customer’s first choice for service.
- Coordinate procurement of materials, supplies, and services for timely and cost-effective project completion within budget.
- Establish project milestones and analyze costs.
- Perform limited managerial responsibilities, including overseeing subcontractor selection and work.
Requirements
- Project management experience in a technical environment (e.g., building automation systems, fire alarm systems, or electronic security systems).
- Initiative to engage in proactive behavior and seek solutions.
- Strong analytical and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to facilitate a collaborative working environment for customers and team members.
- Adaptability to respond effectively to changes and influence others using advanced communication and presentation skills.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills with a leadership orientation.
- Financial analytical skills, including cost control.
- Team leadership, team building, and facilitation skills.
- Experience managing client relationships and communications.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Education: College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum Experience: 5-7 years in project management.
- Preferred (but not required): 5 years in engineering, field service, or project management; experience in electronic, fire alarm & life safety, or building automation industries.
- Certifications & Licenses: Project Management Institute (PMI) or industry-specific certifications/licenses are a plus.

Pay
The anticipated compensation for this position is $90,000 - $115,000 annual salary. Individual pay rates may vary based on job, department, location, skills, experience, certifications, specific licenses, and education.
