About the role

Convergint is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage projects ranging from $1M and up, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project planning, scheduling, and execution from award to completion
  • Prepare project installation plans and job procedures
  • Create detailed proposals and project implementation plans based on customer needs
  • Negotiate project contracts and provide technical assistance to the sales force
  • Supervise project design engineering, installation labor, and subcontractors
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate project risks
  • Communicate project schedules and activities to customers and stakeholders
  • Select and manage procurement of materials, supplies, and services
  • Analyze project costs and adjust plans as necessary to meet financial goals
  • Manage subcontractor selection and work
  • Oversee the execution and review of project scope, terms, and conditions
  • Manage direct reports, if applicable

Requirements

  • Project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, electronic security systems, and AV systems)
  • Associates degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of relevant engineering, field service, or project management experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, building automation, and/or AV systems
  • Previous project supervisory experience
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred
  • Industry-specific certifications and/or licenses may be required
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Pay

Salary range: $75,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience

Schedule

Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week
