About the role
Convergint is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage projects ranging from $1M and up, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion while maintaining positive cash flow and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage project planning, scheduling, and execution from award through completion
- Create and implement project installation plans and job procedures
- Translate customer needs into detailed proposals and project implementation plans
- Negotiate project contracts and provide technical support to the sales force
- Supervise project design engineering, installation labor, and subcontractors
- Prepare project schedules, subcontracts, change proposals, and invoices
- Communicate project requirements to the project team and wider organization
- Manage procurement of materials, supplies, and services
- Establish project milestones and analyze costs
- Manage subcontractor selection and work
- Review and manage scope of work, terms, and conditions in customer contracts
- Ensure compliance with financial goals and project deadlines
- Manage direct reports, if applicable
- Facilitate a collaborative working environment for customers and team members
Requirements
- Project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, electronic security systems, and AV systems)
- Associates degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of relevant engineering, field service, or project management experience
- Experience in one or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, building automation, and/or AV systems
- Previous project supervisory experience
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred
- Industry-specific certifications and/or licenses may be required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Pay
Salary range: $75,000 - $100,000 annually
