About the role
This is a Monday–Friday day shift position supporting construction and facility-related projects across Baylor Scott & White Health locations in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The role requires occasional travel between BSWH facilities to oversee project activities and meet with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develops project plans to ensure feasibility of project with proper resourcing and effective change management.
- Establishes project deliverables and timeframes and holds project team accountable for completion, keeping in mind both short-term and long-term goals.
- Establishes clear project charter, team roles, responsibilities and accountabilities to ensure success of project.
- Prepares and presents project scope document and achieves agreement on project parameters and goals.
- Receives approvals at each phase of project.
- Participates in feasibility studies, business planning, and benefit review studies.
- Ensures cost, benefit, and risk elements are identified and considered.
- Collaborates with other departments to obtain needed resources to complete projects within expectations and timeframes.
- Manages small scale and moderately complex projects to ensure quality and timely achievement of project deliverables and goals.
- Prepares and maintains project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets and status reports.
- Communicates task assignments and due dates in a clear, professional and timely manner.
- Manages work plan and project tasks to meet committed time frames and project milestones.
- Maintains project status, resolves risks, issues, and action items promptly.
- Escalates to leadership for support when needed.
- Facilitates team meetings to discuss project progress (daily stand-ups if using Agile methodology).
- Serves as a contact to senior management and key stakeholders to report project progress and to assist with problem resolution.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Maintains business operations and applications knowledge level to provide required information as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Healthcare, or related field preferred
- PMP certification preferred
- Experience with construction
- Experience in both waterfall and agile methodologies
- Experience with project management tools such as SmartSheet, Planview, Azure Dev Ops, etc
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
- 3 Years of Experience
