Project Management - Reconstruction
About the Role
Responsible for successfully running multiple jobs through the reconstruction phase based on design and project schedules. Maintains constant contact with customers, estimators, contractors, and administrative staff to ensure work meets expected quality and adheres to the agreed-upon contract and scope. Handles all phases of the project while adhering to client standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project plans, including budget, schedule, and quality control measures.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, architects, engineers, and contractors to develop project requirements, scope, and goals.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress, quality, and safety.
- Identify and manage project risks, including changes to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and making budget adjustments as necessary.
- Ensure that all work complies with applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and provide weekly updates to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Communicate with subcontractors to ensure all parties are informed of project status and changes.
- Ensure project activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Manage project close-out activities, including final inspections, punch lists, and warranty work.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with accounting and administrative teams.
- Work with the Estimator to ensure scope items are not overlooked.
- Track costs and create change orders for added work from customer needs/wants.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
Language Ability
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Ability to analyze construction documents and interpret blueprints.
Math Ability
- Ability to process basic construction measurements and calculations.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
- Experience with PSA, Encircle, Luxor CRM, and PDF Writer.
Education and Experience
- College degree (2 or 4 year).
- 2-4 years’ experience in construction management or a related field.
Certificates and Licenses
- Valid driver’s license.
- WI Dwelling Contractor certification.
- OSHA 30 Safety certification.

- Smartphone.

- Other miscellaneous equipment as needed.
Work Environment
The role operates partially on job sites, which may be damaged by fire, flooding, wind, or other structural issues. Must be able to move freely over uneven or debris-ridden sites. Reporting and management interactions occur in a professional office setting. Lifting may be required, and travel within the tri-state region may be requested.
While performing duties, the employee may be exposed to wet/humid conditions, hot/cold weather, fumes, airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock. Noise levels are usually moderate.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands, talk, and hear. Frequent standing is also required.
