Project Management Consultant (Permit Project Manager) Juno Beach, FL | 12-Month Contract | $28.50-$33.50/hr | Monday-Friday, Standard Business Hours This role manages and facilitates the permitting process for renewable energy facilities - including solar, wind, battery energy storage, and associated transmission and substation infrastructure - working directly with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to secure all permits required to build and operate these facilities. The role requires strong communication skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams to facilitate project progress, manage risk, and standardize work practices for maximum efficiency. Job Responsibilities In this role, you will manage and support permitting activities within the (Insert) department. Key responsibilities include:Coordinate and manage permit applications for renewable energy construction projects across multiple jurisdictionsDevelop and maintain relationships with local AHJs to facilitate the permitting processInterpret and apply local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental requirementsPrepare and review permit applications and supporting documentationCollaborate cross-functionally with engineering, construction, development, and project management teamsTrack and report permit status, ensuring timely submission of all required documentationCoordinate permit activity timelines in alignment with the overall project scheduleIdentify and assess permit risks, develop mitigation strategies, and report to the project teamMaintain accurate records of permit applications, approvals, and related communicationsAttend pre-application meetings with regulatory agencies when necessaryKeep project teams informed of permitting timelines and requirements Essential Job Duties and Job Functions Manage the end-to-end permitting process for renewable energy facilitiesServe as the primary point of contact with AHJs across multiple jurisdictionsEnsure permit activities stay aligned with overall project schedulesIdentify, escalate, and mitigate permitting-related risks Knowledge and Skills Strong understanding of building codes and permitting processesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDetail-oriented with excellent documentation skillsProblem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex regulatory requirementsProven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment Education and Experience 5+ years of experience in a corporate environment, preferably in permitting, regulatory compliance, or a related fieldExperience with construction projects related to renewable energy, electrical utility, or major infrastructure permitting preferred Working Conditions Primary work in office environment with standard business hours, Monday through FridayMay require occasional travel to project sites and regulatory offices ...
