About the role

Our Engineering Interns perform tasks requiring the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures. Responsibilities include standard design of engineering systems, correcting and updating designs, assisting lead engineers with various project duties, and other duties as assigned. Specific assignments and project work vary by market segment.

Market Segments

Construction

The Construction group handles construction phase services in the design-build process and supports safety and health, estimating/pre-construction, field operations, quality, and project management. The team uses multiple project execution approaches, including self-perform, multi-subcontractor, construction-only, and program management.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Currently enrolled and in good standing in a post-secondary education program related to the department’s work.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
  • Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
  • Actively involved in campus, community, or other volunteer activities or organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.
