Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Administers subject specific assessments, district and/or state tests for the purpose of assessing student competency levels and/or developing individual learning plans.
- Advises parents and/or legal guardians of student progress for the purpose of communicating expectations and student achievement; developing methods for improvement and/or reinforcing classroom goals in the home environment.
- Analyzes test data for the purpose of enhancing student achievement and increasing school improvement goals.
- Affirms student progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or goals for the purpose of providing feedback to students, parents and administration and/or seeking the assistance of district specialists.
- Counsels students for improving performance, problem solving techniques and a variety of personal issues.
- Demonstrates methods required to perform classroom and/or subject specific assignments (e.g. language arts, mathematics, science, history, etc.) for providing an effective program that addresses individual student requirements.
- Differentiates classroom work and integrates district initiatives for providing students with instructional materials that address individualized learning plans within established lesson plans.
- Directs paraprofessionals, student teachers, instructional assistants, volunteers and/or student workers for the purpose of providing an effective classroom program and addressing the needs of individual students.
- Instructs students for the purpose of improving their success in academics through a defined course of study.
- Maintains student behavior for providing a safe and caring environment throughout all facets of the school program and to provide for an optimal learning environment.
- Makes a variety of written materials (e.g. grades, attendance, anecdotal records, lesson plans, progress reports, etc.) for the purpose of documenting student progress and meeting mandated requirements.
- Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in job-related area.
- Missouri Teacher’s Certificate w/appropriate endorsement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Math or Science teaching certificate.
- Teaching experience in PLTW.
