Project Lead

Responsibilities

• Project management, leadership, and oversight of technical projects of varying size, complexities, and customer requirements.
• Reporting project health (schedule, budget, and resources) and status to management and customers.
• Working project lead as needed to maintain project success to meet schedule and delivery commitments.

Qualifications

• Requires an ABET-accredited Engineering degree: BS degree and 3-5 years related engineering experience, or MS degree and 1-3 years of related engineering experience, or a BA or BS degree in Business Administration/Logistics Management and 3-5 years of directly applicable experience in Project administration and project management.
• Project lead experience in varying size of projects, leading a group of engineers and technicians, excellent communication skills with customers and management is required.
• C competence in use of common business software tools including the MS Office suite and MS Project is required.
• A strong ability to research and analyze financial data is highly desired.
• Expertise in project management principles and practices including earned value analysis is highly desired.
• Engineering experience in flight engine refurbishment, design, procedure development to conduct engine or component level processing such as refurbishment, troubleshooting, decontamination, and handling of flight qualified components and support equipment are highly desired.
• Knowledge of Space Shuttle Orbital Maneuvering Subsystem (OMS) Reaction Control System (RCS) hardware and/or Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
