About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Project Financial Analyst to support a portfolio of IT projects by owning the financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis that drive informed project decisions. Responsibilities
- Own the financial management of multiple IT projects, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain forecast updates, estimate-at-completion (EAC) forecasts, and cash flow/spend curves for assigned projects.
- Perform detailed analysis of actuals versus plan, identify variances, and provide actionable recommendations to project managers and leadership.
- Support Project Change Requests (PCRs) by evaluating financial impacts, funding needs, and project risks.
- Partner closely with Finance on capital vs. expense classifications, capitalization activities, funding requests, accruals, and month-end close.
- Monitor project financial performance, identify trends and risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Build and maintain accurate financial reports, dashboards, and supporting documentation while ensuring compliance with PMO governance and reporting standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project financial analysis, FP&A, project controls, or cost analysis.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets and forecasts across multiple projects.
- Strong experience performing forecast updates, reviewing spend curves, and analyzing project actuals against budget is essential.
- Working knowledge of project accounting concepts, including capitalization, capital vs. expense, and estimate-at-completion forecasting.
- Experience with Oracle or other enterprise ERP/project accounting systems.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large data sets and build financial models.
- Experience creating reports and dashboards in Power BI is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across PMO, IT, and Finance.
- Familiarity with the Project Life Cycle and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Pay
Salary Range: $56 - $58 per hour
