About the role

CohnReznick is seeking a Project Finance & Consulting Senior Associate to join the team in our Boston office. This position is hybrid, with team members expected to be in the office on average 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Generate comprehensive due diligence reports for affordable housing investment opportunities, focusing on Low-Income Housing Tax Credit deals.
  • Analyze financial projections and underwriting assumptions, and assess the strengths and weaknesses of counterparties.
  • Review real estate closing documentation and assess the financial performance of multifamily real estate portfolios.
  • Support various ad hoc consulting engagements, including the production of industry research reports.
  • Create financial models for real estate transactions, optimizing the financial benefits and feasibility of projects.
  • Track and account for project operations and calculate the rate of return on investment.
  • Assist with transactional or consulting services.

Requirements

  • 3 years of financial modeling/financial analysis/real estate experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, able to translate technical concepts into work products
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Effective communication skills, able to track manager feedback, optimize training and learning opportunities, and express complex concepts clearly
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Experience with affordable housing tax credit industry, real estate underwriting, or partnership tax concepts is a plus

Benefits

In Massachusetts, the salary range for a Project Finance & Consulting Senior Associate is $90,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and applicable employment laws.
