Project Executive-High Rise Commercial
About the role
AECOM Hunt is recruiting a seasoned Construction Project Executive to lead the delivery of multiple high-rise towers in the heart of Miami, FL. The role involves strategic leadership, commercial management, scheduling, quality assurance, stakeholder management, financial stewardship, and people and culture management.
Responsibilities
- Set project vision, success measures, and operating cadence; implement executive-level risk management and decision frameworks.
- Chair executive progress reviews; forecast outcomes and drive early, decisive interventions.
- Oversee design development, value management, packaging strategy, and market engagement/CM-at-Risk environment.
- Lead procurement and contract negotiations; ensure robust change management and claims mitigation.
- Own the master schedule from siteworks through Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)/Completion of Owner (CO); optimize vertical logistics (cranes, hoists, concrete cycle, jump form).
- Drive structural concrete sequencing, MEP integration, façade interfaces, and interior fit-out with disciplined pull-planning and 4D/5D tools.
- Champion a zero-incident culture and rigorous QA/QC; align inspection, mock-ups, and testing with acceptance criteria.
- Lead commissioning/turnover for MEP systems and smart-building features; secure TCO and final CO.
- Manage executive relationships with the owner, lenders, insurers, and authorities having jurisdiction (City of Miami, Miami-Dade).
- Career and community management; coordinate permitting, inspections, and compliance under the Florida Building Code; integrate resilience for hurricane and high-wind conditions.
- Own project P&L; maintain cost certainty with disciplined forecasting, cash flow management, and contingency governance.
- Oversee pay apps, change orders, and claims; resolve commercial issues proactively.
- Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing team; set clear accountabilities for Project Managers, Superintendents, and Controls staff.
- Foster collaboration with design partners and trade contractors; model inclusive, high-trust leadership.
Qualifications
- BA/BS Construction Management/Engineering or similar curriculum and 12 years of relevant construction project management experience and 4 years of leadership experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Executive leadership on $1B+ high-rise or complex mixed-use developments.
- Florida market experience with Miami-Dade AHJs, utilities, inspections, hurricane/wind design considerations, and coastal logistics.
- Advanced proficiency with Procore (or equivalent), Primavera P6, cost systems, BIM/VDC, and data analytics/reporting tools.
- Experience coordinating design-assist, prefabrication, and modular strategies at scale.
- Deep expertise in structural concrete, MEP/FP systems integration, building façade systems, and vertical transportation.
- Mastery of commercial delivery (GMP/CM-R), procurement, cost controls, and change management at mega-project scale.
- Strong command of schedule development and recovery planning (e.g., P6), VDC/BIM coordination, and field execution.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $149845.17 to $277213.58 per year.
