About the role

Overall management of the operations and administration of assigned projects with bottom-line profit accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all essential Senior Project Manager responsibilities.
  • Review and approve all estimates and schedules prepared for assigned negotiated projects and hard bid jobs.
  • Facilitate job turnover process from estimating to project team, including sign-off on budget and fee.
  • Supervise subcontract bidding and negotiations in compliance with Division procedures; approve all subcontracts and major material purchase orders.
  • Review contract terms and conditions; assist Operations Manager in contract negotiations and ensure preparation of "recap of contract highlights."
  • Lead project planning, including conducting job start meetings and planning sessions.
  • Ensure scheduling procedures are followed: baseline schedule, monthly updates, and three-week rolling schedule.
  • Ensure cost control is set up and maintained in accordance with company standards.
  • Lead and supervise project mobilization and job setup; ensure proper staffing and resource allocation.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and oversee supervision of qualified construction personnel.
  • Supervise project team activities to ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and quality standards.
  • Conduct periodic job visits and reviews; report accurate status to Operations Manager and enforce "Special Risk Alert Policy."
  • Maintain positive cash flow and ensure timely progress payments.
  • Ensure timely job closeout and closed job reports.
  • Ensure timely and accurate management reports, including "Jobs in Progress."
  • Ensure project team members comply with job descriptions and responsibilities; conduct formal employee performance evaluations.
  • Maintain continued client contact on current projects.
  • Work with Business Development to develop new or renewed client relationships.
  • Attend proposal presentations and assist in preparing presentation materials (schedules, budgets, charts, and graphs).
  • Assist Division Manager in other non-operating functions as required.
  • Monitor and manage the bottom-line profit of assigned projects.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven professional experience delivering complex construction projects.
  • Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or construction management education considered a foundation, not a requirement.
  • 10–15+ years of progressive construction leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading either:
    • Data Center / Mission-Critical projects, or
    • Process-driven industrial or energy facilities (RNG, oil & gas, chemical, LNG, biogas).
  • Proven delivery of:
    • Fast-track or phased projects,
    • Design-Build, CM-at-Risk, and/or EPC delivery methods.
  • Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency.
  • Organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and challenge drawings, models, and specifications.
  • Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
  • Thorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement, and estimating).
