Job Summary

As a Project Executive for Graycor Construction Company, you will lead business development and operations oversight primarily focused on data center and mission critical projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop new and service existing clients
  • Support estimating and oversee preconstruction and construction services
  • Maintain subcontractor relationships to achieve growth objectives and ensure successful project execution

What You Will Do

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Build client relationships by initiating new client contacts, organizing and submitting qualification data, and supplementing proposal efforts
  • Develop an overall proposal and budgeting strategy, collaborating with Estimating and Operations
  • Oversee preconstruction, including design, estimating, and project management personnel
  • Lead the development of major proposals and presentations to win business
  • Communicate with Design Consultants, General Managers, Director of Operations, and the VP/Manager of Estimating to maintain management team efficiency
  • Coach and mentor direct reports through regular one-on-one discussions and quarterly check-ins

Requirements

  • A minimum of 15 years of construction experience, with significant experience in the local industrial warehouse sector preferred
  • An undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or a relevant discipline required
  • Proven experience managing preconstruction services and leveraging subcontractor relationships to meet and exceed client needs
  • Strong financial skills including budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing financial statements
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with strong presentation skills and the ability to run meetings at all levels of the organization
  • The ability to build strong relationships and establish strong interpersonal connections at all levels of the organization; treat others with respect, and conduct business professionally and tactfully
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills and a desire to develop and challenge direct reports to improve their performance and develop their knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple, competing priorities
  • An analytical orientation toward key market trends/changes and the ability to take appropriate action to ensure continued leadership and competitive advantage
  • Strong computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Procore, Primavera)
