About the Role
This construction company is seeking a Project Executive to provide overall leadership on large-scale data center projects. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, responsible for project performance, contract negotiations, client relations, budget, schedule, and trade partner management. The role ensures compliance with corporate safety and quality standards across assigned projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead project acquisition efforts by generating leads through industry contacts, participating in the RFP process, and supporting contract negotiations.
- During pre-construction and project start-up, collaborate with the pre-construction team to develop budgets and schedules, assemble the project team, and lead turnover meetings.
- Ensure full understanding of and compliance with contract terms across the project team.
- Visit job sites regularly to monitor performance and evaluate project staff.
- Oversee accounts receivable, financial forecasting, and P&L for each project.
- Assist with baseline schedule development and support Lean and Last Planner processes.
- Champion the project safety program and maintain continuous communication with clients through regular attendance at owner and project meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 15 or more years of general contracting experience.
- Experience leading multiple medium to large data center projects valued at $100 million or more.
- Strong working knowledge of contract terms and legal provisions affecting project profitability.
- Proven ability to negotiate and manage contracts on behalf of the company with project owners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and clients.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to recruit, build, and motivate a project team to exceed project goals.
- Ability to develop and maintain client relationships that generate future work.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30 Hour certification.
- PMP certification.
- LEED accreditation.
- Experience with Lean construction and Last Planner System processes.
Pay
$180,000 to $230,000 per year, based on experience.
