About the role
A Project Executive’s primary responsibility is to oversee several large projects with direct oversight to project managers associated with projects. Works closely with Estimating during pre-construction process. In conjunction with the Preconstruction Department, interfaces with owners, A/E’s suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve constructability and/or value engineering matters during negotiation and contract execution.
Responsibilities
- Reviews owner contract and ensures compliance
- Manages the development of master project schedule and quality control program
- Identifies critical issues and milestones
- Reviews and approves budgets and scopes with Preconstruction Department
- Identifies potential additional cost issues and forecasts accordingly
- Ensures that safety is properly incorporated into job planning and execution
- Develops GMP or Lump Sum Contract
- Analyzes financial ability of subcontractors to perform
- Conducts weekly and monthly reviews (studies) of job cost reports
- Develops Look-Ahead Schedules
- Oversees company’s quality control program on the project
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or similar is preferred
- 7 or more years experience working for an electrical subcontractor in a management position
- Proficiency in computer software and keyboarding necessary, MS applications, and Bluebeam
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Advanced knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings, and other construction documents
