About the Role

As Project Executive, you will be the driving force of a leadership team dedicated to providing world-class service to our clients by leading, directing, and coordinating the day-to-day management of the project. You will champion the project goals and objectives to the entire project team, create a project plan outlining tasks, timelines, and resources, and collaborate with the Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, and Project Engineers to communicate with stakeholders, manage risk, and monitor progress against the schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all activities related to contract administration, change orders, procurement, schedule, and financial reporting
  • Have thorough knowledge of the company's contracts and understanding of all parties involved
  • Secure required permits and verify insurance coverage for subcontractors
  • Facilitate project meetings to successfully coordinate work activity
  • Lead, train, and develop project team members
  • Prepare and submit monthly job status reports that outline project priorities and issues
  • Lead project close-out, including turnover of manuals and warranties and preparation of final payment documents for subcontractors
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with counterparts at owner, engineering, and design firms
  • Establish deadlines and monitor the progress of the project
  • Drive a culture of safety on the project site
  • Support the company’s acquisition of new work by participating in proposals and presentations
  • Provide leadership to foster an environment of inclusion and diversity

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline, or relevant work experience
  • 10+ years of construction experience required; working for a general contractor on large-scale construction projects is highly preferred
  • 6+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams
  • Understanding of the strategic, operational, and financial components of a construction project
  • Ability to make timely and effective decisions
  • Experience managing projects successfully from start to finish
  • Skilled at developing and negotiating relationships with owners and trade contractors
  • Strong work ethic, leadership, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, SAP (or another financial system), Procore, and Microsoft Excel
  • DBIA and LEED Accreditation

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on role requiring frequent movement on job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. The work is physically demanding, involving bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting materials up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds). Effective communication and visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work are essential.

You’ll spend significant time on active construction sites, exposed to varying weather, moderate to loud noise, elevated or confined spaces, and moving mechanical equipment. Office time includes prolonged sitting for computer work, document review, and meetings.

Safety is a top priority; you must follow Clark Construction's safety policies and all applicable laws at all locations.

This is a high-performance environment requiring commitment, flexibility, and responsiveness. You must thrive under pressure, manage extended hours during critical project phases or client deadlines, and be available for time-sensitive matters or emergencies. Monitoring and responding to communications (phone, email, text) outside regular hours is expected.
