ACCO Engineered Systems is one of the largest mechanical contractors in the country. Since 1934, owners and builders have selected ACCO to design, install, and maintain more than 250,000 mechanical projects. ACCO is dedicated to the design, fabrication, installation, maintenance, and service of commercial and industrial HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, process piping, and building automation systems. Projects include low and high-rise office buildings, shopping malls, hospitals, semiconductor fabrication facilities, and pharmaceutical manufacturing plants.

About the Role
The Senior Project Manager is expected to develop and maintain a client base, manage HVAC/Plumbing/process sales, and manage the field labor needs for each project in conjunction with field leadership. This role uses judgment and discretion in representing the company and requires a high level of commitment and involvement with work and the company’s business.
Responsibilities
- Act as the single source of responsibility and main point of contact for the business and the customer.
- Perform all core project management functions to finalize sales, including concept engineering, complete estimates, and written proposals.
- Successfully manage contracts across their entire lifecycle, covering sales, estimating, procurement, and execution.
- Oversee field labor and coordinate installation sequencing between the customer and the business’s field leadership.
- Manage financial health by forecasting, preparing budget projections, tracking job costs, and controlling expenses within limits.
- Handle all essential documentation, including billing, proposals, contracts, change orders, and legal protections.
- Lead external client meetings and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and industry partners.
- Supervise and coordinate internal efforts across departments, including Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction, and Service.
- Facilitate effective communication by scheduling pre-construction meetings, consulting with department heads, and attending all project meetings.
- Mentor, train, and coach sales staff to support growth, while participating in recruiting and special technical studies.

Requirements
- Proven ability to work independently to execute and achieve organizational goals established by leadership.

- Demonstrated experience in cultivating client relationships and driving new business development.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a history of successfully navigating high-volume, fast-paced environments.
- Active participation in key industry-based or community-based organizations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
- Valid Class C driver's license.
Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in estimating, designing, and/or management of HVAC projects from $50,000 to $100+ million.
- Desired experience in Business Systems Software (JDE, IFS, BidTracer, FastEst, Bluebeam, Box, Smartsheet, etc.).

Schedule
This is an exempt position. Workdays are scheduled from Monday through Friday, typically between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. Work outside of regular hours may occasionally be necessary to meet business needs.
Travel Requirements
Travel required 5-45% of the time to other offices and job sites.
Physical Demands
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Prolonged sitting.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class C driver's license and have the ability to drive a vehicle.
