Project Estimator
Responsibilities
- Assess inbound and proactively sourced opportunities (PUD, HOA, commercial) for fiber deployment potential by developing high-level preliminary fiber network layouts
- Utilize software applications and design tools to maintain quality records and produce prospecting deliverables
- Create detailed project cost estimates for fiber deployments, including labor, materials, network equipment, permits, and restoration
- Leverage GIS data, field inputs, construction benchmarks, and historical project costs to inform estimates
- Collaborate with Engineering to ensure estimates align with design standards and network architecture
- Provide insights that help prioritize markets, neighborhoods, and developments for expansion
- Prepare and present summary-level and detailed designs, budgets, or reports for executive and project stakeholders
- Contribute to a culture of trust, integrity, and collaboration
- Understand and uphold Cityside Fiber's core purpose and values
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in estimating, financial analysis, and design for telecom, utilities, or infrastructure planning, including field surveys and both inside and outside plant design and delivery
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with required proficiency in Excel
- Demonstrated ability to use GIS and prospect mapping tools for fiber design, ROI calculation, and data management
- Proven expertise in budget creation and management, cost analysis, and reporting
- Deep understanding of the telecom and fiber deployment lifecycle
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task and be highly responsive to internal and external clients
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial and performance data to executives and field teams with actionable insight
- Proven ability to operate in complex, cross-functional workflows with multiple stakeholders
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure

Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary: $90,000+ annually (dependent on experience) (exempt)
