About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for a 10+ year experienced W/WW engineer looking to build a long-term career in the water industry while working alongside some of the most experienced professionals in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater treatment and conveyance projects
- Aid with engineering studies, reports, and technical documentation
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Perform hydraulic and system modelling analyses
- Support permitting efforts and alternative analyses
- Collect, enter, and analyze engineering data
- Assist during construction-phase engineering activities
- Conduct field investigations, pilot studies, and site visits
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams on a variety of municipal infrastructure projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain
- Coursework or exposure to hydraulics, water/wastewater treatment processes, and infrastructure design
- 5-15 years of experience within the water/wastewater engineering sector
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, or hydraulic modelling software such as WaterGEMS, InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, or InfoSWMM
- Familiarity with municipal water or wastewater infrastructure projects
