Project Engineer - Water/ WasteWater

About the role

We are currently seeking a Project Engineer with Water/Waste Water experience, in the Tucson area, responsible for supporting the project staff, ensuring project progress, and managing various aspects of project management.

Responsibilities

• Supports project staff in providing assistance with scope of work, bid package development, and contractor/supplier solicitation.
• Aids in pre-construction and ongoing meetings.
• Maintains project schedules and distributes them to the project team weekly.
• Arranges and tracks all necessary permits, drawings, and submittals; processes change orders and back charges.
• Records all labor, equipment, and job cost quantities on a daily/weekly basis; codes delivery tickets for payment.
• Produces and distributes production and cash flow reports.
• Aids in project closeout, including finalizing quantities, change orders, and releases from agreements.

Requirements

• Knowledge of production methods and coordination of people and resources.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• Strong follow-through on delegated tasks and assignments.
• Ability to produce timely results of high quality and accuracy.
• Ability to work on multiple projects, adjust to shifting priorities, and handle pressure situations effectively.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Work Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Construction Management, Masters preferred; Water/Waste Water Plant construction experience a plus.
• ADOT/CMAR experience with construction companies a plus.
• Experience with Excel, Word, Suretrax (Primavera), Prolog/Expedition, and CAD or other design software.
• Strong working knowledge of CSI code, specs, and standards.
