Project Engineer-TRAVELING

Southwest Concrete Paving is an established concrete paving company specializing in military airfield construction across the western United States. The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating and managing onsite construction engineering activities for concrete paving and heavy civil construction projects to ensure quality and cost control. This position will be a travelling position where the qualified applicant will be required to integrate and travel with a project team or paving crew to assist with all functions of project. The individual must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Some night and weekend work will be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Develop and maintain project schedule to ensure work is completed on time and under budget.
• Provide support in construction planning, quality control, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, and constructability reviews to ensure successful job completion.
