Responsibilities

- Design highway/roadway corridors, roadway widening and intersection improvements for the Georgia Department of Transportation and Development (GDOT). - Participate in the design process, including schematic development, preparation of plans, specifications and estimates. - Utilize InRoads Modeling, template creation, importing/displaying alignment data and creating cross sections. - Communicate effectively and analyze complex problems. - Use MicroStation V8i SS2, adhere to GDOT Standards, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, MUTCD, ADA, PROWAG, and other relevant standards. - Proficient in Microsoft Office products. - Maintain a valid driver's license.

Requirements

- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. - Licensed Professional Engineer. - 7+ years of progressive transportation/roadway design experience. - Experience in roadway plan production, InRoads Modeling, template creation, importing/displaying alignment data and creating cross sections. - Strong verbal communication and analytical skills. - Proficiency in MicroStation V8i SS2. - Familiar with GDOT Standards, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, MUTCD, ADA, PROWAG, etc. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. - Valid driver’s license.
