About the role
As a Project Engineer, you will provide mid-level engineering/technical expertise on complex electric transmission design projects for high-voltage (HV) overhead utility systems. Specifically, the position involves:
- Developing and approving PLS-CADD criteria
- Finalizing PLS-CADD models
- Scheduling project tasks for the project support team
- Attending client stakeholder meetings
- Completing design review meetings with the client
- Providing input on special design questions
- Attending internal design review meetings

Requirements
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's in Engineering (required)
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification (preferred)
- 4+ years of related transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility industry (required)
- Experience in using PLS-CADD for designing transmission lines (required)
- Experience with design codes and standards such as NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and ACI (required)
- Experience with liaising substation, transmission, environmental, real estate, construction, and maintenance stakeholders (required)
- Demonstrated ability in the application of engineering theories and principles (increasingly proficient)
- Increasingly proficient in practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, preparing, and presenting (increasingly proficient)
- Demonstrated ability to work in a safe manner and always obey safety regulations (increasingly proficient)
- Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and thrive in an unstructured, varied and deadline-driven work environment (increasingly proficient)
- Demonstrated strong ability to collaborate with team members and peers in the electrical utility industry (increasingly proficient)
- Demonstrated strong ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written and presentation) (increasingly proficient)

Qualifications
Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.
