About the role
As a Project Engineer, you will provide mid-level engineering/technical expertise on complex electric transmission design projects for high-voltage (HV) overhead utility systems. Specifically, the position involves:
- Develop and approve PLS-CADD criteria
- Finalize PLS-CADD models
- Schedule project tasks for project support team
- Attend client stakeholder meetings
- Complete design review meetings with the client
- Provide input on special design questions
- Attend internal design review meetings

Requirements
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's in Engineering (required)
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification (preferred)
- 4+ years of related transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility industry (required)
- Experience in using PLS-CADD for designing transmission lines (required)
- Experience with design codes and standards such as NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and ACI (required)
- Experience with liaising substation, transmission, environmental, real estate, construction, and maintenance stakeholders (required)
- Demonstrated ability in the application of engineering theories and principles (required)
- Increasingly proficient in practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, preparing, and presenting (required)
- Demonstrated ability in working in a safe manner and always obeying safety regulations (required)
- Demonstrated ability in being a self-starter and thriving in an unstructured, varied, and deadline-driven work environment (required)
- Demonstrated strong ability to collaborate with team members and peers in the electrical utility industry (required)
- Demonstrated strong verbal and technical writing skills (required)
- Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy (required)
