About the Role
As a Site Civil Project Engineer at EXP, you will support projects in the Buildings, Telecommunications, and Mission Critical practices nationally. Projects can vary widely, offering opportunities to work across the United States. You will prepare engineering analyses, designs, and calculations for site civil work, coordinate with clients and agencies, generate reports, and assist with project procurement.
Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering analysis, design, and calculations for site civil work including site access, grading, drainage, utility networks, and erosion control.
- Coordinate with clients, government agencies, and other project design leaders across multiple time zones.
- Generate detailed reports to demonstrate compliance with local design guidelines.
- Employ various modeling software for drainage and water/sewer system design.
- Independently prepare detailed construction documents and make design decisions.
- Maintain involvement with projects during construction to address RFIs and make design revisions.
- Prepare scope and fee estimates on portions of projects or assist with project procurement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience in a Civil Engineering role (site civil/land development experience preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification required (or ability to obtain within 12 months of start date).
- Proficiency in CAD via AutoCAD Civil3D.
- Proficiency in stormwater modeling software such as HEC-HMS, ICPR, SWMM, or similar.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative working style within multi-disciplinary, remote project teams.
- Time management and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
- Forward-thinking to identify potential technical or scheduling issues early in projects.
- Ability to travel for 1-2 day site inspection/meeting trips (one trip per month or less average).
Qualifications
The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location. The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location.
