Project Engineer (Salary commensurate with experience)
General Statement of Job
Under limited supervision, is responsible for design and construction management of public infrastructure for the City. Performs office and field engineering activities including survey, design, permitting, plan reviews, construction inspections, citizen complaints, etc.
Minimum Training and Experience
Education: - Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
Experience: - Twelve (12) years experience in construction engineering, civil engineering design and permitting, or related experience
Certifications: - Engineer Intern (EI) Certification
Must possess a valid driver's license
Preferred: - Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.)
AutoCAD experience
GIS experience
Survey Experience
Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to operate an automobile and a variety of automated office machines including a computer, telephone, blueprint machine, calculator, copier, drafting instruments, hand tools, a level, transit, planimeter, radio, flow gauge, etc.
Must be physically able to exert up to fifty pounds of force occasionally and/or up to twenty-five pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of up to one hundred pounds.
