Project Engineer – Roadway Design

Responsibilities

- Design highway/roadway corridors, roadway widening, and intersection improvements for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD). - Participate in the schematic development, preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates for transportation projects. - Utilize InRoads Modeling, template creation, importing/displaying alignment data, and creating cross sections. - Communicate effectively and analyze complex transportation design issues. - Maintain proficiency in MicroStation V8i SS2, Microsoft Office products, and adhere to LADOTD Standards, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, MUTCD, ADA, PROWAG, etc. - Possess a valid driver's license.

Requirements

- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. - Licensed Professional Engineer. - At least 7 years of progressive transportation/roadway design experience on transportation projects. - Experience in roadway plan production, InRoads Modeling, template creation, importing/displaying alignment data, and creating cross sections. - Strong verbal communication and analytical skills. - Proficiency in MicroStation V8i SS2. - Familiarity with LADOTD Standards, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, MUTCD, ADA, PROWAG, etc. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. - Valid driver’s license.
