About the Role
We are seeking a Specialist Project Engineer to lead electronics development for propulsion control systems in defense and aerospace. This role focuses on safety-critical environments and involves managing cross-functional teams, developing project plans, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee hardware and software development activities for propulsion control systems.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to drive project execution.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., DO-178, MIL-STD).
- Drive issue resolution and risk management processes.
- Conduct design reviews and technical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in engineering project leadership within defense or aerospace sectors.
- Experience with product lifecycle management and cross-team coordination.
- Proficiency in requirements management and technical communication.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as DO-178 or MIL-STD.
Skills
- Strong organizational and technical judgment abilities.
- Collaboration and leadership in cross-functional environments.
- Experience with engine control systems, embedded software, or hardware/software integration (preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of control electronics (preferred).
