Project Engineer - Order Management

As a Project Engineer in Order Management, you will serve as the single point of contact for Schneider Electric’s field representatives. Your role ensures execution from order opportunity through handoff to services, providing updates based on information from multiple plant departments.

Responsibilities

• Proactively and consistently communicate directly with field representatives to inform and mitigate execution barriers, ensuring full compliance with the Customer Project Plan (CPP).
• Coordinate meetings with plant stakeholders to track order fulfillment progress through scheduling, engineering, procurement, kitting, assembly, test, and pack-out.
• Identify, mitigate, log, and track execution and cost risks throughout the project duration.
• Work proactively with plant flow controllers and engineering to resolve long lead-time or missing parts via ship shorts, substitutions, and customer-approved deviations.
• Review customer change orders to define and communicate schedule and cost impacts, providing input to the pricing team.
• Coordinate any required witness testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of the Customer Project Plan (CPP) and the order progression through manufacturing plant gates: scheduling, approvals, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, and pack-out.
• In-depth project management knowledge and skills.
• Experience working with Engineer-to-Order (ETO) products, including familiarity with application types, complexity features, and identifying barriers and risks.
• Ability to proactively identify execution risks to on-time order delivery throughout the fulfillment lifecycle.
• Technical knowledge of core gear components such as circuit breakers, electrical components, bussing, and structure.
• Experience with ERP/SAP and Symmetry.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will have a deeper understanding of electrical and mechanical elements in the design and build of gear.
• Ability to collaborate with tendering, sales, engineering, and manufacturing to define standard applications and further standardize electrical and mechanical BOMs.

Pay

For this U.S.-based position, the expected pay range is USD 86,400 - USD 129,600 per year. This range includes base pay and short-term incentives. Individual pay is determined by performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
