Project Engineer, Nuclear QA

Responsibilities

• Support company/client projects by representing quality assurance in planning, coordination, and project execution related to nuclear QA.
• Act as a central point of contact between the QA team and internal/external stakeholders for quality and process issues.
• Develop and maintain quality requirements traceability matrices and incorporate them into project activities.
• Manage first-of-a-kind issues and adapt to evolving project demands, ensuring quality activities are accurately reflected in work plans.
• Proactively identify project issues and challenges, escalate as necessary, and coordinate cross-functional quality-related activities.
• Develop and implement processes and procedures for efficient project quality operations.
• Support project risk assessment and mitigation activities.
• Care for quality responses to customer requests for information and marketing activities.
• Engage with project teams and management to manage cross-functional quality interfaces.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in a technical field from an accredited college or university.
• At least 8 years in quality assurance with broad responsibilities, including experience leading quality efforts on large projects and developing requirement traceability matrices.
• Familiarity with ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and experience with ISO 9001 and international quality standards is a plus.
• Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Minimum Skills, Qualifications and Abilities
