Project Engineer Intern
About the role
The Full Circuit Project Engineering Internship Program at Rogers Electric is designed for students entering their senior year or graduation, aiming to gain practical experience in Project Engineering, Project Management, or electrical construction.
Responsibilities
- Support an active electrical construction project alongside Project Managers, Project Engineers and field leaders
- Maintain project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, drawings, meeting notes and material-tracking logs
- Aid with project scheduling, procurement, change-order documentation and closeout activities
- Participate in project meetings and jobsite visits
- Learn how project teams monitor labor, cost, schedule, safety and quality
- Gain exposure to Preconstruction, Safety, Finance, HR and other teams involved in project delivery
- Use industry technology and construction-management software
- Complete weekly deliverables as part of a collaborative, full-lifecycle project simulation
- Present project work and recommendations to Rogers leaders
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
- Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Construction or another directly related construction or engineering discipline
- Interested in pursuing a career in Project Engineering, Project Management or electrical construction
- Able to participate in the full ten-week internship program
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized and able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
- Detail-oriented, dependable and willing to ask questions
- Comfortable working in both office and active jobsite environments
- Adaptable, collaborative and receptive to feedback
- Previous construction experience is helpful but not required
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus
Qualifications
This program is specifically designed for students who meet the following requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
- Entering the internship as a rising senior or graduating senior
- Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Construction or another directly related construction or engineering discipline
- Interested in pursuing a career in Project Engineering, Project Management or electrical construction
- Able to participate in the full ten-week internship program
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
