About the role

The Full Circuit Project Engineering Internship Program at Rogers Electric is designed for students who are ready to transition from traditional job shadowing to hands-on experience in electrical construction. This immersive, ten-week program offers students the opportunity to contribute to active projects, learn from experienced professionals, and gain insights into the full lifecycle of a construction project.

Responsibilities

  • Support an active electrical construction project alongside Project Managers, Project Engineers and field leaders
  • Maintain project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, drawings, meeting notes and material-tracking logs
  • Aid in project scheduling, procurement, change-order documentation and closeout activities
  • Participate in project meetings and jobsite visits
  • Learn how project teams monitor labor, cost, schedule, safety and quality
  • Gain exposure to Preconstruction, Safety, Finance, HR and other teams involved in project delivery
  • Use industry technology and construction-management software
  • Complete weekly deliverables as part of a collaborative, full-lifecycle project simulation
  • Present project work and recommendations to Rogers leaders

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Entering the internship as a rising senior or graduating senior
  • Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Construction or another directly related construction or engineering discipline
  • Interested in pursuing a career in Project Engineering, Project Management or electrical construction
  • Able to participate in the full ten-week internship program
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized and able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, dependable and willing to ask questions
  • Comfortable working in both office and active jobsite environments
  • Adaptable, collaborative and receptive to feedback
  • Previous construction experience is helpful but not required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus
