Job Responsibilities
- Aid in proper project planning, value-added engineering means, and methods.
- Develop work packages and prepare production indicators/benchmarks.
- Create the master schedule.
- Identify state or local laws related to environmental compliance and educate the team.
- Research and resolve conflicts and errors in design/drawings.
- Verify quantity tracking data and measure productivity.
- Interpret production goals from work packages.
- Track progress of major vendors and subcontractors.
- Maintain the project schedule.
- Generate and maintain various informational logs and correspondence with the project client/owner.
- Provide engineering input to the daily job log.
- Generate and maintain contract compliance listings, buyout logs, and procurement reports.
- Estimate costs of extra work and unanticipated activities.
- Establish and maintain a project change order log.
- Cover the transmittal and subsequent approval of all submittals to the Owner/Engineer.
Qualifications/Requirements
- A four-year degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction including technology, equipment, methods: craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, estimating, schedules, and safety.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel.
