- Over six months, participants take part in a hands-on curriculum covering professional development, business acumen, and project delivery - including case studies, simulations, and role-play exercises.
- The program covers topics like project economics, communication, and leadership fundamentals, and concludes with an in-person capstone event where participants present their work and outline goals for the year ahead.
Primary Responsibilities
- Aid in the planning, design, and analysis of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, and related infrastructure.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, design drawings, and specifications under guidance from senior engineers.
- Perform hydraulic modeling for water distribution and sewer collection systems.
- Conduct field investigations, site assessments, and occasional construction observation.
- Support project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and proposals.
- Coverage of project design elements through coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Review design standards, regulatory requirements, and permitting needs.
- Participation in client and internal project meetings; communication of technical information clearly.
- Support quality control processes and ensure adherence to company and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering field.
- EI/EIT certification required or ability to obtain within 12 months; PE track preferred.
- 0–4 years of experience in water/wastewater design, permitting, or construction support.
- Familiarity with hydraulic modeling tools (WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater, SWMM, etc.).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or Civil 3D; experience with BIM/Revit is a plus.
- Basic understanding of pump systems, process equipment, and utility design.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
What You'll Need
