Project Engineer I
Responsibilities
- Applies project management skills across all phases: development, justification, design, construction, and start-up.
- Supports project documentation, data gathering, and coordination tasks under supervision.
- Affords assistance with cost estimates, schedules, and DSP preparation.
- Participates in Management of Change (MOC), Process Safety Information (PSI), and mechanical integrity documentation reviews and learns requirements.
- Coordinates with external engineering consultants and designers to complete projects and studies cost-effectively.
- Develops scope, cost estimates, and schedules for capital and expense projects; prepares Decision Support Packages (DSPs) and presents to leadership.
- Collaborates with stakeholders including Maintenance, Construction, and Turnaround teams to support planning and execution.
- Observes HAZOP reviews and incident investigations.
- Learns engineering codes and specifications; ensures designs meet safety, environmental, and permitting standards.
- Promotes safety awareness and takes corrective action when unsafe practices or conditions are observed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
- Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering degree preferred.
- Zero (0) years or more of industry experience required.
