Project Engineer I

Job Description

CEMS Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in electrical design for projects from concept to completion. This position is located at our Summerville, SC office.

Responsibilities

• Design of interior and exterior power distribution, lighting, lighting control systems, and telecommunications.
• Work on a wide variety of projects located primarily along the east coast.
• Provide technical support to project teams.
• Document current conditions during field site visits and attend client design conferences, reviews, and project meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70, National Electrical Code.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other standard MS Office programs.
• Minimum 4 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Ability to travel and perform field site visits.

Preferred

• Professional licensure in SC.
• DoD or GSA design experience.
• Experience with Power distribution and generation design.
• Autodesk Revit experience.
• Easypower experience.
• Lighting analysis software experience.
• LEED AP certification.
• Established NCEES record for licensure by comity in other states as needed.

Qualifications

• Sound technical foundation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Federal clients is a plus.

Skills

• Technical writing and editing.
• Technical specification development.
