About the role

This role is under the direction of the Engineering Manager and is responsible for engineering support to all Divisions and Departments of the Ohio region. Key responsibilities include planning for assigned divisions/systems, coordinating monthly capital meetings, managing the 5-year capital plan, utilizing PowerPlant and SAP for assigned projects, submitting required permits and approvals, obtaining necessary easements, overseeing the entire lifecycle of assigned projects, approving pay applications, and processing invoices.

Responsibilities

  • Planning for assigned divisions/systems
  • Cordination of monthly capital meetings with operational personnel, tracking capital and reporting to senior management on capital of assigned projects
  • Driver/coordinator of the 5-year capital plan for assigned divisions/systems
  • Utilize PowerPlant and SAP for assigned projects
  • Responsible for submittal of any required permits and approvals
  • Responsible for obtaining necessary easements for assigned projects
  • Responsible for project through entire lifecycle; selection, planning including obtaining any, permitting, construction, close out activities
  • Responsible for approving pay applications and the processing of invoices
  • Completes all necessary paperwork needed for accounting to close the project
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required
  • Selected candidate must have Engineer In Training (E.I.T.); or ability to achieve within 12 months of hire
  • Professional Engineer license in the State of Ohio (Preferred)
  • Two or more years of experience in water and wastewater is preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written and organization skills are required as is the ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects
  • Knowledge of Ten States Standards, AWWA Standards, WEC Standards
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
  • Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings
  • Communication skills through plan sets
