Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Aid the project manager and superintendents in preparing monthly owner pay applications.
• Resolve interface conflicts between the company and trade partners, and among trade partners.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, RFIs, and questions for architects/engineers.
• Manage cost control and labor recap in collaboration with the project manager and project superintendent.
• Process and estimate change orders and requests for information.
• Develop and manage the project schedule.
• Assist with engineering details and special design.
• Track and report project progress.
• Facilitate production analysis studies.
• Manage and train office engineers and jobsite administrator.
• Participate in safety meetings and inspections.
• Interpret BIM and VDC specifications.

Requirements

• 4-year degree in civil, structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
• Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite.
• Past internships in the construction industry preferred.

Qualifications

• Passes background checks and physical exams (if applicable).
• Must pass substance abuse screening.

Pay

Total compensation range: $110,760.00 - $119,640.00 (Salary + COLA)

Schedule

Moderate work classification. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The individual in this position will periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type. The frequency of each action varies by workflow and office activity.
