Project Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role
The Project Engineer – Generator Services will work in a hybrid capacity at Siemens Energy's Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania site in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. The position supports high-priority generator repair and maintenance projects and serves as a key link between field engineers, technical teams, customers, and project stakeholders.
The engineer will develop work packages, review technical requirements, coordinate schedules, assess risks, and ensure the necessary tools and resources are available for successful project execution. The role also focuses on improving procedures, resolving operational challenges, and supporting the development of more efficient project processes.
The role requires approximately 10% domestic travel.
Responsibilities
- Develop technical work packages
- Review technical requirements for generator repair and maintenance projects

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of field service or related project management experience in an engineering environment
- Experience with large electrical apparatus, including:
- Generator inspections
- Generator testing
- Generator rewinds
- Generator repairs
- Candidates with additional experience may be considered for a more senior-level position
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
