Project Engineer (Heavy Civil)

About the role

The Project Engineer at Haydon is responsible for coordinating technical activities on assigned projects. They plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate with the Project Manager; monitor work for quality assurance and quality control; ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Submittal & Shop Drawing Reviews
• Project Controls including Document Control, RFI’s, and Schedule Updates
• Daily Subcontractor Management
• Quantity Tracking & Verification including performing work takeoffs
• Quality Assurance/Quality Control
• Extensive regular contact with assigned Haydon crews and/or subcontractors
• Participating in Owner and Subcontractor meetings

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering; 0-3 years experience in heavy civil and related functions plus thorough knowledge of civil construction industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Excellent skills in P6 scheduling software and excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, On Center OST, MS Project).
• High energy level and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Understands and abides by all government processes and regulations.
