Project Engineer, Geotech

About the role

RK&K is hiring a Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our Nashville and Knoxville offices. The ideal candidate is a Geotechnical Engineer with a desire to establish their career and develop their skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Essential Functions

• Aid in the development of the geotechnical portion of proposals and subsurface exploration programs.
• Perform geotechnical analysis using approved software.
• Prepare bridge, roadway, retaining wall foundation, and structure recommendations.
• Prepare Geotechnical Sheets.
• Collaborate on innovative design concepts related to Geotechnical Engineering.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering degree.
• Professional Engineer License required.
• Four (4) or more years of Geotechnical Design experience.
• Passion for client service and engineering.
• Significant understanding of the following: gINT, LPile, APile, MSEW, FB-Pier, Rocscience products, and GRLWEAP.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Knowledge of Microstation.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Master's degree or advanced degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
• Six (6) or more years of Geotechnical Design experience.
• TDOT experience preferred.
